Barziya is a village located in the municipality of Berkovitsa, Montana region.
The village is set on the riverside of Barziya, in the foothills of the Balkan mountain. The climate is characterized by cold and windy winters, while summer is warm.
The population is about 1500 people.
The village has electricity and water supply, sewage is partially built. All mobile operators have coverage. It comprises with many shops, restaurants, kindergarten, primary school, community center and town hall. There is a GP and dentist in the village. Regular transport links it with Berkovitsa.
Here, the University of Forestry has training in forestry.
There are has cabins that offer accommodation to visitors in the village. There are excellent opportunities for rural and fishing, and to become balneological resort village.
