Barlya is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Godech municipality, Sofia region.
It is situated in mountain valley Gorni visok and is part of the southwest end of Stara planina mountain in proximity to Kom peak and its altitude is about 924 m. The climate is temperate. The summer is hot and the winter is cool. The amount of precipitation is little.
There are constucted water and electricity systems, the streets are partially asphalted. The mobile operators have coverage.
The permanent population is about 20 people.
In the area around the village there could be seen many vows of St Spas, St Nikola Letni, St Troitsa.
Komshtitsa river that flows above the village is very nice for walks and the people that enjoy fishing can take the conditions and to go fishing for salmon trout.
North of the village is the road to Kom peak. The view is very beautiful and goes to near Visochitsa river and goes to the peak. The walk goes to the peak and is very picturesque - it takes about 4,5-5 hours.
Another landmark is Aldomirovskoto swamp in which grows summer snowflake. It is protected area where there are many rare plant and fauna species. Its area is 129, 40 hectars.
