Barkach is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Dolni Dabnik municipality, Pleven region.
It falls in the hollow between the Danubian Plain and the Predbalkana and its altitude is 263 m. The climate is temperate and considerably dry and is influenced by the flat relief. It is characterized by cold winter, warm spring and hot summer.
Regular bus transportation connects it to the other settlements. The village is with good infrastructure.
The permanent population is about 741 people.

Near the village of Petarnitsa could be seen the area Peshterite which is karst canyon with many natural springs and caves.
