Bardarski Geran is a village in the municipality of Byala Slatina, District Vratsa.

It is 9 km north of Byala Slatina, 57 km northeast of Vratsa, 20 km northwest of the city Knezha and about 160 km northeast of Sofia.

It is situated at an altitude of 166 meters. The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold winters.

The population numbers about 760 people. There is regular bus transport to Sofia and Byala Slatina.

There are a town hall, community center, a home for children deprived of parental care and shops in Bardarski Geran. Medical care is covered by a general practitioner. Nearest schools, kindergartens and hospitals are in Byala Slatina.

 The village was founded by Banat Bulgarians. They are descendants of refugees from areas of Nikopol and Svishtov, who after the defeat of the uprising Chiprovsko riot in 1688 settled in the Banat region, part of Austria-Hungary at that time. After liberation in 1878, they returned and base five villages - Dragomirovo, Gostilya, Bregare, Asenovo and Bardarski Geran.

  • Museum "House of the Banat bit" was established in 1987. The museum collection consists of many objects of local customs and culture;
  • The clock tower was laid in 1986 and is a symbol of Bardarski Geran;
  • In the village center there is a monument in honor of those killed in the wars 1912 - 1913 and 1915- 1918. Another monument is the fighter plane of World War II, which perpetuates the Soviet crew crashed near Bardarski Geran in 1944.
