Balgari

Bulgari is a village in the municipality of Tsarevo, Burgas region. 

  

In Bulgaria there is another location bearing the same name - in Sevlievo municipality, Gabrovo region. 

  

It is located 18 km south-west of Tsarevo, 52 km south-east of Burgas, 16 km north-east of the village Gramatikovo, 40 km in the same direction from the town of Malko Tarnovo and about 450 km from Sofia. 

  

The village is situated in Strandzha montain, within the natural park Strandzha. 
The climate is characterized by mild winters, while summer is warm and dry. 

  

The population numbers about 90 people, several families from abroad have properties in it as well. 
Regular transport links it with the town of Tsarevo. 

  

The village has built electrical and water supply systems, coverage of all mobile operators and satellite TV. There are a city-hall, church, grocery shop and cottages for guests. Nearest schools and medical facilities are located in the town of Tsarevo. 

  

TOURISM AND ATTRACTIONS: 

  

Bulgari is the only nestinars village in the country. Here every year on June 3 is held a fair with fire games. 
Church St. St. Constantine and Elena was built in XIX century and was declared a cultural monument. 
Temple of the fire dancers is located in the center of Bulgari. Here the sacred drum is kept. 
There is a private ethnographic collection in one of the houses which consists of clothing, authentic handmade fabrics and primitive tools from the lifestyle of the local population. 
In the land of the village are the ruins of fortress and castle Gradishte where local population is hiding from the attacks of pirates. 
In the "Shumaka" aeea is set a Thracian complex of V century BC.
