Aprilovo is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Gorna Malina municipality, Sofia region.
It stretches between the slopes of Stara planina mountain to the north and Sredna gora mountan to the south. Its altitude is 603 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by cold and long winter and the summer is hot. Precipitation falls mostly in the spring and the summer.
The permanent population is about 1058 people.
Regular bus transportation connects the village of Aprilovo to the other settlements. Nearby passes the Podbalcan road E-871 that makes the access to the capital easy. The roads are asphalted and there is lighting. There are constructed water and electricity systems. All mobile operators have coverage.
At the center of the village is situated the Orthodox temple "St Bogoroditsa". Here are working primary school "St st Kiril and Medotii", kindergarten and community center with library and cinema. For the health of the local people take care one GP and the dentists in the dental center. The nearest hospital is in the town of Elin Pelin.
Just to the village is located the hill Babata. On one of the slopes of the hill there is deciduous and coniferous forests and plants and at its foot there is small marsh. On the other slope there are no plants, it is steep and wide and this provides excellent conditions for para gliding.
Ognyanovo dam is situated 20 km from the village and is great place for fishing. It is stocked with fish and motor boats could be used also it is suitable for picnics and walks for there are gazebos and areas for relaxation.
