Yablanitsa is a town in Northern Bulgaria, Lovech region, an administrative centre of Yablanitsa municipality.
The town is situated 85 km away from Sofia city, 72 km to the regional centre - Lovech, 80 km to Pleven, 220 km to Ruse city, 150 km to town of Svishtov and 360 km to the sea capital Varna. The highway Hemus - connectiong Sofia-Varna-Ruse is located in immediate proximity to town.
There is a history museum with rich collection that is situated in the building of the community centre " Nauka" / Science /. Another landmarks attracting tourists is the central town street with old houses constructed in the end of XIX and the beginning of XX centuries.
Saeva dupka cave known for its beauty is located near Yablanitsa. The near mountain massif Dragoytsa is a nice challenge for the tourists lovers. Okaptsite area offers conditions for rest and tourism thanks to the cool river and built grounds and tables. The monastery of Glozhene in near by as well.
Because of its closeness to Hemus highway Yablanitsa has excellent transport links to the whole country. The town benefits with regular bus transport as well - to Lovech, Teteven, Sofia, Varna and many others points in Bulgaria.
The nearest railway station is set in Zlatna Panega - on the line Cherven bryag- Zlatna Panega / 9 km to the north /. There is bus transport leading to it.
The production of cement has the biggest share in the municipality's economy. There are several companies with pruductions in the areas of construction, tailoring and food.
A modern trade complex with shops, restaurant and other facilities is under construction near Hemus highway.
