Kermen is a town in central Bulgaria, Sliven Region, Sliven Municipality.
The town is located in the eastern foothills of Surnena Sredna gora, 24 km south of Sliven, 101 km west from the nearest port city of Burgas, 240 km east of Sofia.
The altitude is 160 m, the population is 1935 inhabitants. The climate is mild - the winter is short and , the summer relatively cool.
Kermen originated as a village established at the end 17 century and early 18th century. In 1974 Kermen was declared a town.
Kermen tow has a well developed transportation network - a regular rail and bus transport. The city lies on the railway line Sofia - Burgas, and the station building is the only one built in Bulgaria in recent years. In the land of the town will pass part of the future route of the highway.
The town has one elementary school where learning nearly 200 students and one kindergarten.
The only cultural center in the town is library "Probuda " with several folk dance formations and composition.
