Kameno is a town in Southeastern Bulgaria, with population of about 5000 people. Administrative center of Kameno Municipality, District Burgas.
Located in the fertile lowlands of Burgas, about 19 km northwest of the town of Burgas, Burgas International Airport, 38 km west of Pomorie.
The climate of Burgas Valley, in which Kameno has highlighted influence of the Black sea. Typical for the region are long and mild summer and the small amount of summer rainfall.
Transport - Well built roads. Regular transport links with the villages in the municipality and those in the field. There is a link with the railway Kamen, Burgas - Sofia and close to the freight yards Bulgarovo and Druzhba, which are about 1 km.
Water - partially piped. Continue building the rest of the drains. It is connected to central water supply.
Messages - Well developed infrastructure - availability of post office, automatic telephone exchange.
Health - operate five individual medical practices and two outpatients for dental care.
Education and culture - there is one secondary school, kindergarten and community center
Industry - 80% of the Lukoil Neftochim AD - Burgas is situated in the territory of the town Kameno. This is the main entity in the municipality and a major source of revenue for the budget. Provides about 1000 jobs for local residents.
Agriculture - Agriculture is one of the main industries. Priority is grain, which occupies 46% of agricultural land. The remainder is planted with industrial crops (sunflower oil), essential oils, vegetables, forage crops and others.
