Village of Chintulovo

Chintulovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven Region.

It is about 12 km southwest from the town of Sliven, about 32 kms northeast from the town of Nova Zagora, 120 km northwest from the town of Burgas, 310 km east from the city of Sofia.  Village of Gavrailovo is located 5 km southwest.
There are regular bus and train transport.

Located 188 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate continental. Winter is mild and summer is hot. Autumn is longer than spring.

The permanent population is about 1,300 inhabitants. Developed here is growing fruit and vegetables.

The village has a town hall, a church, a primary school, community center, shops and cafes. There is cable TV, internet and mobile phone coverage. Residents rely on two GPs. In the neighboring village Gavrailovo you can find post office, school, kindergarten, two medical centers. The nearest hospital is in the town of Sliven.

Landmarks

In the vicinity of the village is situated the monastery "St. Prophet Iliya", built in 1830. It was destroyed in 1950 and is currently being recovered.

At about 8 km south of the village passes Tundzha river, a wonderful place for recreation and fishing.

15 km and is located one of the largest spa complexes in the country, Sliven Mineral Baths.

In Sliven village guests can visit: church "St. Sofia", church "St. Mary", the History Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the House - Museum Hadzhi Dimitar.

Area Karandila is located in the northeast part of Sliven. There is situated the National Park "Blue Rocks" with area of ​​11,380 hectares, it has many interesting rock formations.
