Kambanite area is situated at the foot of Vitosha mountain. Belongs to the administrative territory of the village of Bistrica, Pancharevo area in Sofia Municipality, Sofia-city.
It is about 12 km southeast of downtown Sofia.
Bordered on the north by Mladost-4 quarter, to the south villa zone Bunkera, and the west - with Malinova dolina villa zone.
Owes its name to the monument Zname na mira, opened in 1979 with the idea of Lyudmila Zhivkova in conjunction with the Bulgaria hosting of the International Children's Assembly Banner of Peace, UNESCO. In 1999 the Assembly was restored.
Dominates the construction of houses and gated community complexes. There are large areas of greenery. The main objective of the municipal administration is to improve the condition of waste water and street network of the area. The area is continually gets attractive, the infrastructure is updated and this creates perfect conditions for life at the foot of the mountain. In close proximity are luxurious residential complexes, such as Residential Park Sofia, Business Park Sofia, Arena, hypermarkets for equipment, furniture, sporting goods, many restaurants and entertainment.
Fast and easy access to Kambanite by the ring road and its proximity to downtown. Mladost 4 district provides good communications. By building the metro station Mladost significantly reduces the time to travel to all parts of Sofia.
