Filipovtsi is a quarter in the western part of Sofia city.
The district borders with Lyulin-5 quarter and the Ring road- one of the main road arteries in the capital, to the east, south is situated Suhodol quarter, Bansko shose str. and Republika are noth from the quarter.
Town of Bankya is 5 km away.
River of Sheovitsa passes through the quarter.
Filipovtsi is constructed mainly with low-storey buildings, single-family and two-family houses with yards. There are no block of flats or residential complexes.
In the region operate a municipality building, health service centre, kindergarten "Kitna gradina" and two elementary schools - 77th Sts. Kiril and Metody, and 103th. The quarter comprises with shops, restaurants, pizzaria, sweet shop, post office and church.
There is a factory for procesing of waste.
The predominant population in the quarter is ethnical.
