Arkutino area

Arkutino is situated in SouthEast Bulgaria, Primorsko munciaplity, Burgas district.

Located about 50 km south of Burgas and just 2.5km northwest of mouth of Ropotamo river.

Area represents Lagoon, formed in the sinking of the Black Sea coast. The water is fresh. In 1962 Arkutino forest and dense forest surrounding it were declared a nature reserve. Pool is remarkable for its water lilies, cattail and reed, which almost completely cover it. In the reserve is nesting waterfowl as well as migratory birds. Wooden bridge and playground on the east end of Arkutino enable thousands of Bulgarian and foreign tourists to admire the beauties of the reservation.

In the area is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bulgaria, bearing the same name. The long coastline offers excellent opportunities for recreation and sunbathing and the sea is smooth and swimming is very pleasant. This paradise shelters people who love to rest beyond the vanity of the big resorts along the Black Sea Coast.

From the bay reveal wonderful views of the island of St. Thomas - the only place in Bulgaria, where are found wild cactus. In the northern part of the site is built holiday village St. Thomas.
