Salash is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Belogradchik, Vidin region.
It is located 19 km southwest of Belogradchik, 62 km in the same direction from the town of Vidin and 194 kilometers northwest of the capital Sofia.
Salash village is located in a mountainous area in the beautiful mountain pass "Kada Boaz" , just 4 km away from the border with Serbia. The altitude reaches 520 m.
Its population numbers about 181 people.
Salash has no educational institutions and medical care, the village has two dentists. In 1973 the school has been closed and was converted into a nursing home . In the nearby town of Belogradchik residents can rely on three schools and kindergarten as well as general practitioners and specialized medical institutions.
There is a river - Salashka, suitable for fishing.
There is a small dam near the village.

Belogradchik Rocks - probably the most famous rock formations in Bulgaria, which are part of the 100 national tourist sites. They are located about 5 km north.
"Magura" cave is located about 26 km northeast. It is one of the most beautiful caves in the country, also part of the 100 national tourist sites.
Rakovitsa monastery "Holy Trinity" is located 39 kilometers northwest. It was founded in X-XI century and after the fall of Bulgaria under Ottoman rule it declined. In the XVII century it was restored by St. Pimen of Sofia, but at the end of XVIII century, was burned down. Currently he is restored and constantly operating.
