Mayor Uzunovo is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Vidin, District of Vidin.
It is located about 12 km northwest of Vidin and about 43 km northeast of the town of Kula. The distance to Sofia is 207 km.
The climate is characterized by cold and windy winter, while summer is hot. The average altitude is 92 m.
The population of the village numbers about 310 people.
There is a regular bus service to and from the town of Vidin.
The village has a mobile coverage. The nearest school, kindergarten and hospital are located in the town of Vidin.
Тhere is a monument to Captain Uzunov in the centre of the village.
Near the village was found a Neolithic settlement from the late seventh and early sixth millennium BC.
River Deleynska passes 3 km away. It is suitable for fishing.
In Vidin one can visit: The Castle Baba Vida, the Turkish konak /police office/ Koluka, turned into a museum, the mosque and library of Osman Pazvantoglu, the Ethnographic Museum Krustata kazarma, Stambol Kapiya and many other cultural and architectural monuments, which the city is famous for.
