Ivantsi is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is part of Kardzhali Municipality, Kardzhali Region.
It is located 5 km north-east of Kardzhali, 48 km south-west of Haskovo, 279 km in the same direction of Burgas, 97 km west of Svilengrad and 244 km south-east of Sofia.
The village is set in mountainous region, at an altitudeof about 383 m. It is situated in the Eastern Rhodopes. The climate is transitional-Mediterranean with hot summer and mild winter.
The population is approximately 144 people occupied mainly with tobacco cultivation and wool breeding.
The village of Ivantsi is provided with electricity and water and has relatively good infrastructure and good transport connections. The nearest police inspector on duty and kindergarten are situated in the village of Solishte /1 km in the south-west/. The pupils attend the primary school in the neighbouring village of Rani list /4 km in the north/. The nearest hospitals are in Kardzhali.
Only 2 km south-east of Ivantsi is situated a Thracian fortress built in VII - I century. It is situated on a hill named "Isaak's hill". The hill is believed to be a sacred place with a church and the grave of a noble priest.
Nevestino Dam (known also as Kadancheto) is located near the village. It is stocked with carp, sturgeon, hausen, sheat-fish, etc. The dam is convenient place for recreation and fishing.
At about 3 km in the south, near the village of Zimzelen you can visit the rock phenomenon The Stone wedding - group of natural rock formations of figures with height up to 10 m, resembling wedding-guests. The site is natural landmark. It could be reached by a marked ecological path as well.
Just 18 km north-east of the village is the situated the archeological complex of 'Perperikon' - one of the 100 National Tourist Sites.
