Yasen is a village in North Bulgaria. It is located in Pleven Municipality, Pleven region.

There is another village in Bulgaria with the same name in Vidin region.

It is 10 km west away from the city of Pleven, 44 km north away from the city of Lovech and 155 km northeast from the capital city of Sofia.

There is a regular bus and railway transport. The main road Pleven - Sofia and railway line Varna - Sofia pass through the village.

It is situated at 108 m altitude. The population is around 2 600 inhabitants.

The climate is temperate continental with large temperature differences. Hot and dry summer and cold winter.

The village has good infrastructure, there is community center, school "St. St. Kiril and Metodiy" kinder garten. In the village there is internet access, cable TV and coverage of all the mobile operators. Here is the unique tobacco processing factory - the only one in the country. Two general practitioners and one dentists are looking after the health of the inhabitants. The nearest hospital is in Pleven.

Yasen village has a rich historical past, today there are many historical monuments - some of them are historic bridge, Monument to the fallen in the fall of Pleven and just outside the village is the monument "The transmission of Osman Pasha".

Guest of the village can also enjoy the numerous cultural and historical attractions located near the town of Pleven.
