Banya is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is situated in Nessebar municipality, Burgas region.

In Bulgaria there are four places bearing the same name - in Razlog, Blagoevgrad region, Panagyurishte municipality, Pazardjik region, Karlovo municipality, Plovdiv region, Nova Zagora municipality, Sliven region.

It is only 7 km from the town of Obzor, 14 km from Sunny Beach and 15 km from the town of Nessebar and about 50 kilometers from the major administrative centers Bourgas and Varna.

The population of the village of Bath is about 214 people, descendants of Bulgarian refugees from Macedonia and Asia Minor.
Its altitude is 60 m.

Banya is very beautiful and attractive village, away from the noise of the city. It is situated in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains and is near the Black Sea coast (6 km). This combination of sea and mountain climate makes it a preferable for living.

Just 5 km from the village is a nature reserve Irakli interesting with its picturesque virgin beach on the Black Sea coast, where rare birds nest. The village is surrounded by forests and vineyards maintained. The combination of mountain and sea, and beautiful scenery attract many Bulgarians from different parts of the country as well as foreigners. The village has already quite British, German and Dutch - property owners.

The school was built during the reign of Alexander Stamboliiski (1928 to 1933). From then dates the building of the City of the village. Before September 9 village was a municipal center of more than 2,000 people and covered villages - Emona Priseltsi and Rakovskovo. After World War I to the Agreement Mollov - Kafandaris is the population exchange between Greece and Bulgaria. So Pontic Greeks on the Black Sea moved to Greece, Thracian, Macedonian and Bulgarians come Anatolian Black Sea, including the village of Bath. Old Greek Bath - ie. Palio Bath is located in the east of the current village and closer to shore, but because of the Turkish raids was moved. The local church is the oldest building at the time, approximately 300 years. Banya is the focal point of the flight of birds. A great variety of rare plant and animal species. No sign of ugly concrete buildings. The area is included in the "Natura 2000".
