Biser is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is in Municipality Harmanli, District of Haskovo.

It is located about 10 km north-west of Lyubimets and about 13 km south-east of the town of Harmanli, about 25 km northwest away from Svilengrad, about 35 km northwest from Kapitan Andreevo and the Bulgaria-Turkish border and about 50 km south-east of the district town of Haskovo.

International route E-80 passes by the village, connecting Bulgaria with Greece and Turkey.

The relief in the region is flat, climate is transitional continental. It is mainly expressed in higher average temperatures and high number of sunny days.

Altitude is about 65 m.

There are nearly 500 housed in the village, and the population is around 1000 residents.

The village is with electricity, water-supply and sewerage systems built, telephone lines and coverage of mobile operators. Larger part of the streets are asphalted.

There are functioning town house, church, community center, primary school, kindergarten, stadium and shops.

The closest health center and hospital are in the town of Harmanli.

Traditionally well-developed is the agricultural sector - tomatoes, cucumbers, vineyards, orchards /apples and peaches/ are grown. There are several dairy farms, stud and buffalo farms.

Regular bus transportation links Biser to surrounding settlements, and there is a railway station on the route Svilengrad -  Plovdiv - Sofia.

In the vicinity of the village there are 12 unexplored mounds that evidence of life in these parts since Thracian times. 

River Biserska runs through the village and flows into Maritsa River, with at least 5 species of fish available. There is variety of wildlife and birds, including the black stork.

About 20 km south, in the village of Malкo Gradishte, there is the Thracian cult complex - Gluhite Kamani (Deaf Stones). Rock niches are carved on four huge stone pieces in XII - VIII century BC. Cultural monument of great religious and funerary complex, and later on a church has been built.
