Dolno Selo

Dolno Selo is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is part of Municipality Kyustendil, District of Kyustendil.

It stands about 19 north-west of the town of Kyustendil.

The population is about 80 residents.

The relief is low-mountainous, with altitude about 800 m.
The climate in the region is continental, characterized with mild winters and warm and dry summers.

Dolno Selo is with well-developed infrastructure, including partly asphalted and lighted streets, electrical and water-supply systems, telephone lines and mobile operators’ coverage.

About 7 km away from the village is a passage of European route E871, linking the settlement to border checkpoint of Gyueshevo and the towns of Kyustendil and Sofia.

There is regular transport to and from Kyustendil. There also is a railway station on the route Kyustendil – Gyueshevo.

There is a town house, post office, and community center in the village.

Medical care is provided by GP visiting the village. There are shops and restaurants.

The closest schools and hospitals are in the town of Kyustendil.

Attractions

The rivers Bistritsa and Lebnitsa run nearby the village and are suitable for recreation in the nature.

The close proximity of Kyustendil makes possible visiting of the spas and Roman baths in Kyustendil. The hill of Hisarlaka is rising about 2 km south-east of the town. There is a fortress there, built at the end of IV and the beginning of V century.
