Village of Sinio bardo is located in the municipality of Roman, Vratsa District.
It is 18 km south-west of Roman, about 30 km south-east of Vratsa, 14 km in the same direction from Mezdra and about 100 km north-east of Sofia.
The village is situated in the outskirts of Stara Planina, near the rivers Iskar and Malak Iskar. The climate is characterized by cold winters, hot summers and cool autumn and spring.
The population is around 1000.
Sinio bardo has electricity and water supply systems, sewage is partially built. There is range of all mobile operators and Internet and satellite TV available. There are several shops, pubs, guest houses, a disco club. A kindergarten and community center are operating. Nearest schools are located in the town of Roman. Medical care is covered by a general practitioner, and the nearest hospital is located in Mezdra.
Regular bus and train transport connect the village to Sofia, Vratsa and the whole country.
The region offers excellent conditions for hunting and fishing. The surrounding area is known for its many Archaeological excavations of Thracian fortresses.
8 km from the village is Strupetski monastery. Here tourists can see St. Nicola's built in XVI century.
Another interesting attraction is the fortress Bozhenishki Urvich, located 15 km away in the village Bozhenitsa. The fortress was built in Middle Ages but archaeological studies have found traces of prehistoric settlers. There are a nearby hotel with a pool.
