Plevun (Pelevun) is a village in Ivaylovgrad Municipality, Haskovo Region.

It is 25 km south-west of Ivaylovgrad, 135 km south-east of Haskovo, about 40 km east of Krumovgrad, about 80 km away of Kardzhali and about 380 km away of Sofia.

Plevun is the second biggest village in the municipality. It nestles in the Eastern Rhodopes, at the foot of 'St Iliya' mountain top.
The climate characterizes with hot summer, mild, snowless winter, warm and long autumn and spring.
There are several micro-dams in the area. About 15 km away passes Byala River.
The population is approximately 100 people.

Plevun is provided with electricity, water and sewerage systems. Operational are: a shop, a tavern, a church and a post office. The nearest hospital is in town of Ivaylovgrad. The nearest kindergarten and school are in village of Zhelezino (11 km away). Regular bus transportation goes to the municipal centre.

Guests and tourists of the village may visit the following places of interest:

'St martyr Panteleymon' church, built in the year of 1843. It was declared monument of culture with local significance. In 1878 Captain Petko Voivode and his band saved the local residents from siege. Marble plaque at the entrance of the church is in their honour. Marks of bullets have been preserved during the last renovation of the church.

In front of the church rises the full height monument of the voivode.

The building of the old school in the centre of the village, hosts permanent museum collection, devoted to Captain Petko Voivode. There are traditional costumes and items of the period.

About 4 km away of Plevun is the first Bulgarian area for feeding cinerous vulture.

The dolmen near the village is the latest found Thracian megalithic complex so far. The whole tomb represents corridor, front-tomb chamber, anteroom and larger chamber.

Above Plevun is located 'St George Victorious' chapel.

About 12 km away is 'Luititsa' fortress - one of the biggest and well-preserved fortresses in the country.
