Skrino is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is part of Boboshevo Municipality, District of Kyustendil.

It stands about 35 km south-east of the town of Kyustendil, and about 6 km north-west of the town of Boboshevo.

The population is about 80 residents.

The relief is flat and hilly, with altitude about 560 m.
Climate in the region is continental, characterized with mild winter and warm and dry summers.

Skrino is with well-developed infrastructure, including partly asphalted and lighted streets, electric and water-supply systems, telephone lines and coverage of mobile operators.

About 10 km away from the village passes  European route E79, linking it to the town of Dupnitsa and Blagoevgrad.

There is regular bus transportation to and from the town of Boboshevo and Kyustendil.

There are functioning town house, post office and community center in the village.

GP visits the settlement providing medical services to the residents. There are shops and restaurants.

Attractions

The river Sturma runs close to the village and is an attractive place for recreation and walks in the nature.

The village of Skrino is considered the birthplace of St. Ivan Rilski.

About 3 km away from the village is the Ruenski Monastery St. Ivan Rilski, one of the newest in Bulgaria, built in 2002.

Other places of interest are two ancient churches St. Mary and St. Athanasius and Boboshevski  Monastery St. Demetrius.

About 50 minute-drive away from the village, in the heart of Rila Mountainis one of the most visited sites in Bulgaria–The Rilski Monastery. It is one of the significant monuments symbolizing Bulgaria and is included in the list of the World heritage sites of UNESCO. Numerous exhibits dated from XIV – XIX century are preserved there and can be seen by visitors. The Monastery is an educational and literary center established with remarkable architecture.
