Village of Dragana

Dragana is a village in Ugarchin municipality, Lovech region.
It is situated 19 km north of Ugarchin, 34 km west of Lovech, 32 km east of Lukovit and about 130 km northeast of Sofia.
The village is situated at an altitude of 304 meters on the riverside of Kamenica. The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold windy winters.
The population numbers about 200 people. Bus connects is with Pleven / 42 km / Yablanica / 45 km / and the neighboring settlements.
Dragana has a town hall, community center and commercial areas. Nearest kindergarten and school are located in the village Dermantsi / 18 km / and hospitals are in the cities Lukovit and Lovech.
Sightseeing:
In the village you can visit the local museum where archives are stored all the residents and the history of Dragana. According to legend it is named after a girl named Dragana, which the Turks set fire to burenatsite to make her come and take Muslim faith.
The area around the village Uglen / 11 km / is an attractive place for Bulgarian and foreign speleologists as there are 28 caves.
38 km from the village is Saeva hole cave - one of the most beautiful in the country, some hundred tourist sites.
