Lesidren is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is located in Ugarchin municipality, District Lovech

It is 43 km southwest of the town of Lovech, 21 km south of Ugarchin, about 120 km northeast of Sofia on Hemus highway, E772 road Sofia-Varna and few kilometers from the junction before the village of Sopot. 

Located in a mountainous area on the northern slopes of Vasilyovska Mountain, which is part of the northern part of Central Balkan Mountains, northeast of the town of Teteven and northwest of Shipkovski Mineral Baths. The climate is characterized by mild winters and cool summers.

The population is around 1300 people. 

The village has a primary school, unified child care, community center, a pharmacy, GP and dentist. 
Here the local cooperative has built a pig farm and slaughterhouse sausage factory. We produce environmentally friendly products of superior quality. 


Tourism 


An interesting sight here is the church of St. George Martyr, built in 1859 with the permission of the Sultan's decree. Authentic style has remained to this day. Newly built only a religious school, which burned in a fire in the early twentieth century. 

4 km from the dam is located Lesidren Sopot, which is fourth largest in Bulgaria, 7 km long 2 km wide. There is a pub where available just caught. There are also several bungalows near the water. This is a wonderful place for fishing, an escape from summer heat and windsurfing for beginners or boating. To the dam has convenient transportation.10 km is Beluga Lake. 

Of interest are the eco nature reserve to Naples, to the Blue Pool and Koynets. 

Nearby are unique Saeva cave, Glojen Monastery, Troyan Monastery, place of death of George Benkovski.
