Town/Village:
Sinemorets is located on a peninsula, south of the mouth of Veleka river, 5 km south of the town of Ahtopol, 20 km from Carevo and 90 k. south-east of the vity of Burgas with its international airport. The old names of the village are Galadzaki and Kalandzha, the name Sinemorec dates back to 1934. Until 1990 Sinemorec was a part of the bondary zone between Bulgaria and Turkey and the access was seriously restricted.
Now, however, tourists can freely visit the village. There are hotels and private houses renting rooms, and more than 1000 people can be accommodated.
The biggest treasure of Sinemorets is its beaches. The water is clean and warm from June until September.
The patron of the church in Sinemorets, now renovated, is St. George. It is situated in its western end where once was the centre of the old Greek village.
With its beautiful nature Sinemorets is a piece of paradise on the Bulgaria Sea Coast. The green hills of Strandzha Mountain, the beaches covered with fine golden sand, the coves with crystal clear, emerald water immerse us in the peacefulness and magic of nature. These are the southernmost beaches of Bulgaria. Furthermore, its distance from the city with its hustle and bustle is a guarantee that you are going to enjoy your holiday to the full with unforgettable moments.
