Village of Kondolovo

Kondolovo is a village in the municipality of Tsarevo, Burgas region.

 It is located 24 km southwest of Tsarevo, 73 km south of Burgas, 32 km from the town of Malko Tarnovo and about 440 km southeast of Sofia.

It is located in Strandzha Mountain, at an altitude of 320 meters. The climate is characterized by mild winters and hot, dry summers.

The population is about 30 people. Regular transportation links it to Burgas and Malko Tarnovo.

The village has a town hall and general store. The nearest schools and medical facilities are located in the town of Tsarevo.


Here is a typical Strandja preserved architecture of the XIX and XX century. Besides her guests Kondolovo can still see the church "St. George" in the center of the monument to the famous chieftain of the uprising George Kondolov which the village is named.

In close proximity / distance of about one kilometer / are three chapels - "St. Panteleimon "," St. Constantine "and the largest chapel in Strandja -" St. Petka ", which was built on the foundations of the ancient church.

In the "Vlahovo"  are the remains of the ancient fortress Marzovsko Kale, Thracian settlement.

In the village Gramatikovo / 10 km / can see the church "St. 40 Martyrs" chapel "Trinity and Arboretum.

Bulgari / 7 km / nestinars is the only village in the country. Every year on June 3 is a fair, which is held fire games. You can also see the temple dancers and private ethnographic collection of clothing authentic handmade fabrics and primitive tools of the culture of the local population.
