Botunets is one of the newest quarters in city of Sofia. Its construction has started after the 80s of the last century with the aim to satisfy the residential needs of the Kremikovtsi employees. Kremikovtsi is a metallurgic combine.

Location

Botunets quarter is situated in the north-eastern part of city of Sofia. Vasil Levski Str divides the complex into Botunets 1 and Botunets 2. On south-east it faces village of Gorni Bogorov, on north - Kremikovtsi metallurgic combine and Kremikovtsi quarter, on west - village of Chelopechene and on south - village of Dolni Bogorov.
