Tavalichevo is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is in Kyustendil Municipality, District of Kyustendil.

The village is disposed about 17 km northwest of the town of Kyustendil, about 20 km southwest of the town of Bobov Dol and about 80 km northwest of the capital of Sofia.

Regular bus transportation links the village to other settlements in the region.

The village of Tavalichevo is located in the eastern part of Kyustendil valley at the foot of Konyavska Mountain, at about 570 m altitude.

The climate is moderate, continental, with Mediterranean influence. The winters are short and not too cold, summers are long, dry and warm, autumns are sunny and dry. The village is with south exposure and the Konyavska Mountain protects it from the northern winds.

The population of Tavalichevo is about 304 residents.

The infrastructure in the settlement is settled with asphalted and lighted streets, sewerage and water-supply systems, telephone lines and coverage of mobile operators.

There is a town house, church, post ofiice, community center, shops and restaurants at the disposal of the village residents.

Medical care is provided by GP in the local health center.

The closest primary school is in the village of Konyavo about 7 km away, the closest kindergarten is in the village of Kopilovtsi about 11 km away. Тhe closest high schools and hospitals are in the administrative center of Kyustendil.

Attractions

In Tavalichevo is late medieval Bulgarian church "St. Petka". The building belongs to the late XIV - XVI century. The church is a monument of culture.
Konyavska Mountain is one of the fencing mountains of Kyustendil valley. It offers excellent conditions for hang glidingenthusiasts - paragliders and delta.
Near the village is located the protected natural site – the place of "Razgula" There is avenerable summer oaks called "Mitseva dabe."
The close distance to Kyustendil makes easy visiting of the Roman baths and spas in the center of town.
About 1km away from the settlement is the reservoir of Tavalichevo. There is a fee for fishing there, and the species there are carp, goldfish, Lynn (Kalenik), solar fish and pike.
