Plachidol is a village in north-eastern Bulgaria, part of Dobrich municipality, Dobrich.
It is located 8 km south-east of the town of Dobrich, 50 km north of Varna, 35 km north-west of the town of Balchik and 32 km north-west of the resort "Albena".
The terrain is mostly flat. The climate is temperate continental summer is hot and dry, warm and sunny autumn, winter - cold and heavy snow and spring - cool. The population is about 585 people. Altitude - 272 m old name of the village was Alachkyoy / Turkish "Hawthorn" /.
Proximity to the district of Dobrich was and still continues to play an important role on the development and growth of the village as an important economic and cultural areas of Dobrudja.
In Plachidol a primary school, kindergarten, library, grocery stores, small park, town hall, doctor, "Agrofiltar" private enterprise for the production of filters for agricultural machinery.
The main livelihood is farming and agriculture. The fertile lands are handled by a private tenant, the main crops are wheat, sunflower, corn and rapeseed. Grown and numerous alternative crops such as raspberries, oregano, chokeberry and orchards.
Bee-keeping is developed in areas more than 300 colonies grown from 7 owners. Around the village there are many vineyards.
The village has two stocked lake where avid anglers can enjoy the catch of bream, and carp.
Due to its proximity to the Dobrich and all modern amenities and services that the city offers, as well as good transport links Plachidol is a great place for recreation and living.
