Piperkovo is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Tsenovo Municipality, Ruse Region.

It is situated 58 km south-west from the centre of Ruse, 6 km west from village of Tsenovo, 26 km south-east from town of Svishtov, 219 km north-west from town of Varna and 261 km north-east from city of Sofia. Regular bus transportation to the municipal centre and the neighbouring towns and villages.

The population is approximately 380 people.

The village spreads out the middle part of the Danube plain, on 90 m above the sea level. The area characterizes with plain, hilly lands and humid continental climate. The summer is hot and dry, the winter is cold.

Piperkovo is provided with electricity, water and communication equipment. There is a town-hall, a post office, a community centre with a library, an orthodox church and shops. The nearest education centres and medical services are in the municipal centre of Tsenovo.

The good climate conditions and fertile land are favourable for developing agricultural activities. The population cultivates sun-flower, corn, barley and breeds sheep.

TOURISM

The region is with very picturesque nature allowing different types of tourism. Yantra River is convenient for fishing. You may fish European chub, asp, northern pike, sheatfish, zander, perch, etc.

The river is convenient for kayaking from town of Byala to the outfall in Danube River.

Ruse Region is popular with Rusenski Lom Natural Park, where could be seen caves and rock formations, historical monuments and zones with rich flora and fauna.
