Leskovets is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Pernik municipality, Pernik region.
In Bulgaria there are two other settlements with the same name in Berkovitsa municipality, Montana region and in Oryahovo municipality, Vratsa region.
It is 14 km west of the town of Pernik and 5 km in the same direction from the town of Batanovtsi. The capital Sofia is 41 km northeast.
It is located in mountain area and its altitude is 720 m. The climate in the area is temperate and is characterized by mild and snowy winter.
Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements.
The permanent population is about 82 people.
Here are functioning mayor's viceroyalty, community center, shop and coffee shop. The nearest GP and dentist are working in the town of Batanovtsi where there are situated also the nearest school and kindergarten. Specialized medical assistance you can get at the town of Pernik.
The village is with its own survakari group.
In proximity is located Bushlyak dam which is suitable for walk or pick-nick. The dams Oslome and Yardzhilovtsi (7 km) offer great opportunities for the people who enjoy fishing.
In Pernik you could visit the Krakra fortress.
