Kovachevtsi is a village in West Bulgaria. It is administrative center of Kovachevtsi Municipality, Pernik region.

It is about 50 km southwest of Sofia and 20 km in the same direction from the regional center Pernik.
The village is with regular transport to other locations in the municipality and the regional center.

It is located in mountain region and its altitude is abour 700 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by cold winter and warm summer.

The permanent population is about 425 people.

There are health department, community center, sports complex. Primary school there is in the village of Kalishte while kindergarten is working in the village of Lobosh.
Stadium Dimitrovets is with about 8000 seats and there is football playground, volleyball and basketball playgrounds. There is also constructed National Child Ecological Complex that offers the best conditions for school relaxation, tourism and sport.
For entertainment of the tourists in the complex there is functioning school and attraction center, cinema and amphitheater.

Tourism and landmarks

Proximity to Sofia, the beautiful and clean nature and availability of water source, make Kovachevtsi attractive place for recreation for more and more people.
