Karamanovo is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Tsenovo Municipality, Ruse Region.

It is situated 64 km south-west from the centre of Ruse, 12 km west from village of Tsenovo, 20 km south-east from town of Svishtov, 225 km north-west from town of Varna and 249 km north-east from city of Sofia.

The population is approximately 930 people.

The village spreads out the middle part of the Danube plain, on 79 m above the sea level. The area characterizes with low, plain and hilly lands and humid continental climate. The summer is hot and dry, the winter is cold.

Karamanovo is set not far away of the first-classed road Ruse-Byala-Veliko Tarnovo, part of the international transport corridor No 9. The main roads go to the towns of Ruse, Byala and Svishtov. The nearest railway station is in town of Byala (26 km).

Karamanovo is a well-developed village, provided with electricity, water and communication equipment. There is a town-hall, a post office, an elementary school, a community centre, an orthodox church and shops. There is one doctor and one dentist in the village. The nearest hospital is in town of Svishtov.

The good climate conditions and fertile land are favourable for developing agricultural activities.

Tourism

The region is with very picturesque nature allowing different types of tourism. Yantra River is convenient for fishing. There is a fishing school as well. The river is convenient for kayaking from town of Byala to the outfall in Danube River.

Ruse Region is popular with Rusenski Lom Natural Park, where could be seen caves and rock formations, historical monuments and zones with rich flora and fauna.
