Debeli lag is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Radomir municipality, Pernik region.

It is 16 km southeast of the town of Radomir and is 30 km southeast of Pernik. The village of Egalnitsa is 2 km west and Izvor village is 4 km east. The capital Sofia is 57 km northeast.

There is bus and railway transportation.

Debeli lag is located in the Radomir hollow at the foot of Konyavska mountain and its altitude is 598 m.

The climate is characterized by cool summer and extremely cold winter. The spring comes late and the fall is much warmer than the spring. It is often foggy.

The permanent population is about 183 people.

In the village there are working town hall, community center, church, post office, pub and shops. There hotel complex 2 km from the village. The nearest primary school, medical care center and dentist are in the village of Izvor. In Radomir there are hospital and kindergarten.

Tourism and landmarks

Here you can visit the church "St Petar and Paul" as well as the church "St Petka Paraskeva". Pchelina dam offers excellent conditions for relaxations and fishing and is just 20 km away while Izvor dam is 5 km.

The proximity of Debeli lag to the mountain make the scenery extremely picturesque and the air is fresh.

In the area there are other landmarks as Zemen monastery, the old religious school in Radibosh village and the natural phenomenon Chuklovo swamp near Baykalsko village.
