Gorni Romantsi is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Breznik municipality, Pernik region.

It is 6 km north of the town of Breznik and 25 km northwest of the town of Pernik. The capital Sofia is about 55 km east.

It is located in mountain region at the foot of Zavalska mountain and its altitude is 890 m. The climate is temperate. The spring comes considerably late in the end of March - the beginning of April. The summer is not hot. The winter comes earlier than in the other parts of the country.

Bus transportation connects it to the town of Breznik.

The permanent population is about 32 people.

Here functions a store. The nearest schools and kindergartens are in the town of Breznik where you can also find specialized medical assistance.

Tourism and landmarks

In the village is constructed Monument of the people who died during the wars 1912-1918 and 1944-1945.

The people who enjoy climbing and excursions in the mountains could go to Mechi kamak peak (1077 m) that is just 2 km from the village.

Another landmark in the area is the cold mineral water spring Zhelyazna voda in the Burdoto area near Breznik. The mineral spring attracts healthy and sick people from the ancient past for its healing characteristics which are due to the rich mineral chemical compounds and valuable physico-chemical and and physiological characteristics.
