Glava is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Cherven bryag municipality, Pleven region.

It is 7 km northeast of the town of Koynare, 20 km in the same direction from the town of Cherven bryag and 45 km west of the town of Pleven. The neighboring village of Brenitsa is 7 km northwest, while the town of Iskar is 14 km northeast. The capital Sofia is 144 southwest.

It is located in the Danubian Plain in proximity to Predbalkana on the left shore of Iskar river, its altitude is 62 m. The climate is temperate. The winters are cold while the summer is cool.

The permanent population is 1375 people.

The village is well maintained - the streets are asphalted and there is lighting. There are constructed water and electricity systems. The mobile operators have coverage. Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements.

In the village of Glava are functioning town hall, post office, community center, primary school, kindergarten, stores and restaurants. The are constructed Orthodox and Evangelical Churches. For the local people takes care one GP and the nearest hospital is in the town of Cherven bryag, where also work high schools. There is football club and stadium.

According to the legend the name of the village which in Bulgarian means "head" is derived from the fact that in the past people were bringing their stock to eat fresh vegetables and they marked the place with a stick on which was placed skull of an animals. This "glava" became eponymous for the village.

Iskar river offers great opportunities for water sports tourism, fishing, sun bathing and relaxation in the nature. South of the town of Cherven bryag the river still flows into canyon that is not that magnificent as the Iskar canyon but still it is attractive to the tourist. 

In the village of Brenitsa there is hunting party as area is very suitable for the practicing of this hobby.

In the town of Pleven you can visit three of the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria - Pleven Epopee 1877, the Regional History museum and the mausoleum-chapel "St George Pobedonosets". Other interesting places in proximity are Kaylaka parkand the Wine Museum.
