Location

Ovcha kupel isa quiet residential quarter exuberating with greenery and a beautiful panoramic view of Vitosha mountain located nearby. Meantime the region benefits of a well-developed infrastructure and swift access to the Sofia's downtown. The quarter borders with Slavia quarter to the East (sports complex Slavia), Obikolna str. to the North, Gorna Banya quarter to the West, Pavlovo and Kniyazhevo quarters to the South (separated from Tsar Boris III Blvd. and Nikola Petkov Blvd.).

Architecture

The construction in the old part of Ovcha kupel quarter is represented by single-family low strorey houses mainly. However Ovcha kupel I and Ovcha kupel II are considered as new residentail districts - 20-25 years avarage. The construction types on the territory comprise panels and EPK blocks, brick apartment-houses as well. Nowadays there construction is very intensive and dynamic as the quarter is preferred place by the Developers.

education, economics, administration and health care

The quarter outstands with great communications.  Busstation "West" is situated in the old part of Ovcha kupel where all buses to Vitosha mountain are leaving. The biggest trade centre in Ovcha kupel is in close proximity to the station. The 66th Primary school is on Liyubliana street, the Electro and automatics Technical school is in Ovcha kupel Blvd. The local administration is on 136B Tsar Boris III Blvd. Two kindergartens are situated in the quarter.
In Ovcha kupel I are located a Trade centre, a supermarket RAMSTOR and the 88th Primary school close to block 504.
In Ovcha kupel II is the 149 Primary school near the 43. On the territory is St. Boris church, a Post Office and a big open market.

Public transport: Through the region of Ovcha kupel I and Ovcha kupel II pass:

  • Route Taxis - numbers: 15, 19, 27, 29, 24, 48, 33, 38;
