Kozloduy is situated in the municipality of Kozloduy, District Vratsa.
It is located 82 km north of Vratsa, 31 km northeast of the city of Valchedram and about 190 km north of the capital Sofia.
It is located in the Danube valley, on the banks of the Danube. The altitude is 33 meters. The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold winters.
The population is about 13,000 people. The city is the second number of residents in the area. There is regular bus transport to thecities of Pleven, Vratsa, Vidin, Berkovitsa and other places.
The city ahs built electricity and water supply systems and sewerage. There is range of mobile operators, the streets are paved. Kozloduy has many shops, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, gas stations and more. A town hall, police station, district court, three schools, vocational school of nuclear energy, kindergarten and three united kindergartens. Medical care is covered by the hospital and two medical centers. The city offers accommodation for tourists - there are hotels and guest houses.
In city is situated the only operating nuclear plant in the country.
