The Museum of Medicine History
The Museum of Medicine History is the only museum of its kind on the Balkan peninsula. The exposition is displayed in the building of the first charity hospital in Bulgaria. This is where you could see over 4 000 old books of medicine, one of the richest paleonthological collections nationwide, medical instruments dating back to Thracian times, the Greek colonization, the Roman Empire and the foundation of the Bulgarian state. Generally the exposition displays the medicine from the Antiquity to the Revival and the development of medical services after the Liberation of Bulgaria.

Chuprene Biosphere Reserve
The reserve is one of the largest biosphere reserves in Bulgaria. It is established in 1973 to preserve the northern coniferous forests of Bulgaria. In 1977 it was included in the list of biosphere reserves under the program "Man and Biosphere".
