Pismenovo is a village in Southeastern Bulgaria. It is on the territory of the municipality of Primorsko, district of Burgas. The village is located on several Strandzhan hills with splendid view of the nearby sea resorts of Primorsko and Kiten which are situated just 7 km away. The town of Burgas and the Internationa airport in Sarafovo quarter are 58 km from Pismenovo, and the capital Sofia is 459 km away. The settlement is huddled among a century old oak forest that is inhabited by an amazing variety of animal species. In summer Pismenovo is visited by thousands of tourists because of the amazing opportunities for ecotourism. The interest by foreigners and bulgarians is growing day by day because of its tranquility and peace, clean air and absence of industrial concerns. There are sixteen mineral springs set around the village and the water coming from them is consider to be healing. Pismenovo and the chapel in the village are idenified as a God place. On the last Saturday of July each year the traditional fair is held in Pismenovo. On this day the guests in the village will have a chance to enjoy a wrestling competition and observe a demonstration of fire dancing rituals.
The landmarks that you should visit while in the village are the church in the center, the chapel of Pismenovo and the carpenter's shop for production of wooden barrels and kegs.
