The cultural life in Shumen helps to define the importance of Bulgarian customs and heritage, and these traditions are preserved in our unique region. Even with its future accession into the EU, Shumen has managed to embrace globalization, while at the same time not forgetting the strong historical foundation that helped to make the region what it is today.
