EXCELENT SNOW AND SUNSHINE RECORD
The climate of PAMPOROVO is an exclusive one, featuring a soft winter with an average of 120 sunny days and extensive snow, cover reaches a thickness of 1.40 meters. PAMPOROVO is under the significant meteorological influence of the Aegean Sea with a skiing season from mid-December to mid-April. Average air temperature during January, the coldest month of the year, is minus 30C, while the negative ionization of the crystal clear air is both a major longevity factor and a bulwark against winter colds. The resort is protected from the industrial pollution of air.

GOOD SKIING FOR ALL GRADES
The gentle profile of the mountain with its rounded slopes and summits make PAMPOROVO particularly suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers, although the difficult ski runs will test the mettle of any exert. PAMPOROVO also features a giant slalom ski run. All ski runs are meticulously safeguarded and maintained in a perfect condition.

SKI INSTRUCTION - IT'S A QUALIFIED SUCCESS
More than 100 highly qualified ski instructors, fluent in different languages are ready to teach both beginners and advanced skiers. Classes are in five difficulty levels, from A to E, and can be taken individually or in groups. The duration of the different skiing classes is between 3 and 12 days, 2 of 4 hours daily. Cross-country skiing classes are organized in two difficulty levels. All course graduates receive ski-certificates.

HIRE OF SKI EQUIPMENT
14 ski rentals located near the runs and the lift stations offer more than 3200 sets of skiing equipment from world famous companies, as well toboggans, sledges, snowboards, etc. Skiers can also leave their own equipment for safekeeping there.

SKI PACKAGE
The Ski Package Offer covers skiing school classes, unlimited lift usage, hire of ski equipment or the storage of own skiing equipment as well as a bus service to the slopes.

SAFETY ON THE SLOPES
The Emergency Ski patrol service is situated next to the Students Lorge and renders round-the-clock emergency assistance 24 hours a day.

CHILDREN'S FACILITIES
Children between 5 and 8 can visit the kindergarten at the ski school which is open from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Rhodope Mountain

The skiing conditions in BANSKO are excellent. The Pirin Mountain has a predominantly Alpine character with three peaks towering above 2900 m. However, the slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers, from the novice to the expert.

GUARANTEED SNOW AND BEAUTIFUL WEATHER
Surrounded by the Pirin, Rila and Rhodopes mountains, Bansko is a climatic mountain resort with a short summer and long winter. The average temperature during January, the coldest month, is minus 1,9 C. Snow falls are abundant, providing a constant winter snow cover up to 2 m thick. The skiing season along the Pirin slopes starts in the middle of December and ends in mid-April.

The resort offers good opportunities for all types of skiers - from the novice to the expert, while the ski runs are maintained in an excellent condition.

LEARN TO SKI
The BANSKO ski school is a very good one. Skiing classes come in 5 difficulty levels, from A to E - in groups or individually - of varying duration. The tuition in cross - country skiing is in 2 classes of difficulty. All course graduates receive skiing-certificates.

SKI RENTALS
Ski rental services providing ski equipment from world-famous brands are at the disposal of the skiers, along the ski runs. Skiers can also leave their own equipment for safe-keeping there.

24 HOUR EMERGENCY SERVICE
The round-the-clock Emergency Rescue Service is based in the town of Bansko and in the region of Shiligarnika in Pirin Mountain and is fully equipped with all the necessary equipment.

CHILD CARE
Children above the age of 6 can attend the ski school.

Bansko Museum Town

Here, at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, the houses look almost like monasteries - just as austere and inaccessible, with high stone walls and small latticed windows, The true Bulgarian spirit is hidden behind the solid walls and heavy gates - in the spacious rooms with friezes and bay windows, carved ceilings and doors, pretty rugs and embroidered cushions, in the murals, icons and amazingly carved iconostasis of the Holy Trinity Church (1832-35).

Pirin Mountain

The country's second highest mountain, highest peak Vihren (2,914 in), 176 mountain lakes and about 100 varieties of rare plants, including the edelweiss and the famous Baikousheva fir, almost 1,300 years old. Location of the well-known climatic and spa resort of Sandanski and the latest Bulgarian ski center Bansko.

The oldest mountain resort where skiers can experience the thrills of the "white sport" in winter, and hikers enjoy the green freshness of the mountains in summer.

Established at the end of the 19th century as a hunting place for the Bulgarian tzars, BOROVETS gradually developed into a modern ski resort of high class and luxury hotels, haute-cuisine restaurants and varied leisure-time entertainment opportunities besides an excellent network of ski runs and lifts along the slopes of the Rila Mountain. BOROVETS is the Alpine resort among Bulgarian winter resort, providing excellent opportunities for the whole range of winter sports - from the Alpine sports to cross-country skiing, ski-jumps and biathlon. The resort has twice hosted World Cup Alpine skiing rounds, while its biathlon track is one of the best in the world.

The ski runs of various difficulty are suitable for all, be they beginners, intermediate, advanced or expert skiers. The slopes and runs are maintained in perfect condition and are designated with international markings and multilingual signs. A snow machine is also available.

LEARNING TO SKI
The BOROVETS Ski School of international prestige and long-standing tradition has more than 200 ski instructors, all of them fluent in different languages, while many are former professional skiers. Skiing classes come in 5 difficulty levels, from A to E - in groups or individually - 4 hours per day, 6 or 12 days. Cross-country skiing classes are 2 hours daily. All course graduates receive skiing-certificates.

BOROVETS has ten ski rental services, situated next to the lift stations around the ski runs. They offer 7000 sets of skiing equipment from world famous companies, as well as toboggans, sledges, etc. Skiers can also leave their own equipment for safekeeping there.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE - 24 HOURS SECURITY
The Ski patrol provides a round-the-clock, 24-hours emergency service. It is organized in four teams fully equipped with all the necessary equipment including necessary equipment including a helicopter if needed. It is based at the first station of the cable lift.

CHILD CARE

Vitosha Resort

The mountain resort is situated in the immediate vicinity of Sofia, on the eastern slopes of Cherni Vrah (2290 meters) which is the highest Vitosha peak.
This is Bulgaria's highest ski resort, while being only 22 km distant from the center of Sofia. The whole of the Vitosha Mountain, which starts where the Sofia suburbs end, has been disignated a national park.

SKIING AND LEISURE-TIME CONDITIONS
Skiing conditions in Vitosha are excellent, with an extensive network of ski runs and lifts while four new high-class hotels situated in a compact group offer comfort and entertainment to the tourist. The hotels are located at the fringe of the forest near natural skislopes and in close proximity to the ski runs and lifts. estaurants, bars and night clubs, a tavern, a ski bar and tea shops are also available to the weary skier.

GUARANTEED SNOW AND BEATIFUL WEATHER
Snowing starts in December and is stable till late in the spring. The snow cover reaches a thickness of 1.50 meters. The duration of skiing season is 120 days while the average temperature of the air during the coldest month, January, is minus 6 C.

BIG SKIING FOR EVERYONE
The ski runs and tracks, most of which are situated on the open slopes, high above the forest, are suitable for all kinds of skiers - from beginners to experts, while the steep slopes beneath Cherni Vrah pose a challenge for many a champion. There are exellent conditions for slalom and cross-country skiing, as well as for tours on the foot throughout the mountain. The resort has 6 ski runs, two of which have been approved by the International Skiing Federation for international competitions in Alpine disciplines and cross-country skiing. The ski runs are maintained in a perfect condition. Machinery for tramping the runs and artifical snow installations are availble.

SKI SCHOOL - EXPERIENCE YOU CAN RELY ON
VITOSHA has the oldest ski school in Bulgaria with a high reputation and established traditions. The school staff comprises 40 skiing instructors, all fluent in different languages, who are there to help both the novice and the advanced skier. Skiing classes come in 5 difficulty levels, from A to E - in groups or individually - and vary in duratiion, with the opportunity for recording your first and last skiing lesson on video. Cross-country skiing graduated receive skiing-certificates.

Vitosha National Park

Although just a half an hour's drive from Sofia, Vitosha National Park is a home to a multitude of species of butterflies, birds and many mammals. Opened in 1934, it covers the whole of Vitosha mountain, once covered by the "Great Bulgarian Forest". Besides being rich in fauna, it also offers shelter to wolves, bears and even wild cats and a host of less dangerous animals like the badger and the deer.
