Unemployment fell slightly in August

The unemployment rate in August was 10.7% , 0.1 percentage points lower than in July On an annual basis , compared with August 2012 , the value remains unchanged , reported by the Employment Agency.

In the labor offices registered 351,438 unemployed or 3,601 less than in July. Work in the month received 19,327 unemployed, with 1,120 persons more than in the previous month. On the primary market have begun work 10,839 unemployed.

On employment programs and schemes of the Operational Program "Human Resources Development " in August started work 7,717 people. By incentives of the Law on Employment Promotion started work 771 people.

The primary market in labor offices are requested 11,932 jobs, with 562 working places more than the previous month. Compared to August 2012, the number of seats increased to 748.

In August 2013 the most vacancies in job centers are requested again by seasonally dependent economic activities - from manufacturing (2,816 seats) and trade (1761 seats), but for the beginning of the school year - from administrative and support activities (1,552 seats) and education (1,451 jobs).

Other economic activities with a greater number of requested jobs are: construction (739) Real Estate (647), government (525), hotels and restaurants (491) Transportation (412), financial and insurance activities (323) and the like.

On employment programs are claimed 6,799 working places, and incentives of the Law for Promotion of Employment - 933 jobs.
