The number of Chinese tourists to Varna to increase
“The number of Chinese tourists to Varna will increase as the city becomes more and more popular in China,” said Ambassador of China HE Mr Guo Yedzhou after his meeting with Mayor of Varna Kiril Yordanov.
The Ambassador added that, currently, Chinese tourists to Bulgaria are not many, but this will change with the introduction of the facilitated visa regime. “Overseas tourists from China are more than 60 mln,” said HE Guo Yedzhou.
He added that the modernisation of the port of Varna has always been a topical issue in the talks between the leaders of China and Bulgaria. The Chinese side is interested in the project for concessioning the port. “China is very interested in Varna as serious investors have focused their attantion here. Moreover, the beauty of the city, its geographical location and economic development are advantages which result in an interest on the part of foreign investors,” said the Ambassador.
