Ruse to apply for European Capital of Culture
The eighth Weekend Tourism Ruse 2012 exhibition dedicated to the application of Ruse for European Capital of Culture in 2019 began with a stage show. The programme projects a roundtable tomorrow, to be attended by Ivo Marinov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, responsible for the tourism sector.
Participants at the opening of the forum included First Legio I Italica from Svishtov, in full accoutrements of Roman legionaries, presented by the two largest Bulgarian groups for historical reenactments, posted news.ruse24.bg.
More than 200 representatives of the 95 companies from all over Bulgaria, which have registered for participation, were expected at the opening of the event. The programme of the exhibition this year includes a journalistic tour. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism. About 20 representatives of media specialised in tourism and entertainment will attend the exhibition and the special programme planned for them.
