Public-private partnership in Bulgaria?

Construction

Building a modern infrastructure takes time, long-term approach and stable financial flows.

That is why exactly the public-private partnership is an opportunity to create conditions to use the expertise of the private sector.

This is one of the key statements in the adopted by the Ministry of Transport Strategy for Development of Public Airports, Ports and Railway Stations of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The document outlines the plans to attract the private sector to construction and operation of projects of national importance in transport infrastructure through concessions.

Currently a special working panel with the Council of Ministers under the auspices of the vice PM Simeon Diankov is preparing the draft of an Act on PPP and not only an amendment of the Concessions Act. The document will include the best of the world expertise and different forms of PPP.

It will be made public and submitted for discussions by June.
