Private kindergartens and schools to receive a State subsidy

Society

Private kindergartens and schools will be entitled to a State subsidy, MPs decided, adopting provisions of the Pre-school and School Education Act. Some 85 MPs voted and 73 of them supported the draft, while 12 opposed it.

The approved provisions stipulate that private kindergartens and private schools may receive State subsidies for the implementation of compulsory pre-school and school education.

In order to be included in the system of public financing, private kindergartens and private schools have to submit applications as per the State educational standard for financing institutions, setting norms and remuneration of labour.

When private kindergartens and private schools receive a public subsidy, they may carry out activities against payment only if they are not the same as those financed by the State.
