The trips of Bulgarian citizens abroad in July 2012 have increased by 12.0% compared to June and by 7.0% more than the trips registered in July 2011, the National Statistical Institute informs. More Bulgarians travel to Spain, Austria, Germany and France. Less people travel to the UK, Serbia and Belgium. The predominant portion of trips to Spain and Italy are for vacationing or excursions while trips to Belgium and Austria are mainly connected to business. Meanwhile the Institute registered that in July the visits of foreign nationals to Bulgaria are by 50.7% more than in June 2012 and by 4.5% above the level of July 2011. The highest relative portion of the overall number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria is formed by citizens of the EU – 64.1%, followed by those from other European countries – 28.35.
