Novak Djokovic Arrives in Sofia, Set to Star in 'Expendables 2'
World No.1 tennis player Novak Djokovic, Novak Djokovic, has chosen Bulgaria for his cinematic debut after being invited by producers to make a cameo appearance in The Expendables 2.
Djokovic has been ranked world number one by the association of tennis professionals (ATP) since July 4 2011.
Djokovic is apparently playing himself in the sequel to the hit movie, although a source close to set that his role would only require a few hours' filming. Reports in the Bulgarian media said that Djokovic visited a few nighttime haunts while in Sofia and signed autographs for fans.
Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren are still in Bulgaria shooting the movie which will be wrapped at the end of the week beginning December 5. Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger, all of whom have now left Bulgaria, also had smaller starring roles.
Expendables 2 is scheduled for release in the summer of 2012.
